Privacy policy

My work falls under HIPAA. Your information is not shared unless you provide a signed release for me but there are a few exceptions to this. I am a mandated reporter and if you disclose any neglect or abuse of a child, elder or disabled person, I am obligated to report this. The other exception is  in cases of imminent harm.  If you tell me that you plan to harm an individual, I have a duty to warn and I would need to contact the authorities. If you express suicidal ideation and meet criteria, I will need to intervene.
